Rockwell Diamonds Inc.
Rockwell Diamonds used to prefer copper, but perhaps understandably is getting into diamonds. In mid-2006 Rockwell Diamonds company acquired four diamond mining projects in Africa, one in Congo and the other three in South Africa. It still does own a property in Chile that it hopes to develop and produce copper from, but Rockwell Diamonds company is so convinced that diamonds are its future that it changed its name from Rockwell Ventures in 2007. The next year Pala Investments offered $85 million to buy Rockwell; Pala's primary business is investing in natural resources companies. Rockwell rejected the offer as insufficient.
