Augustana College
Augustana College is a private liberal arts college located near the Mississippi River in northwestern Illinois. The college offers undergraduate degrees in some 50 areas of study plus pre-professional programs in fields including dentistry, law, medicine, and veterinary medicine. It enrolls approximately 2,500 students. The Swenson Center, a national archive dedicated to the study of Swedish immigration to the US, is housed on the Augustana campus.
Augustana College was founded in 1860 by Swedish settlers and is associated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church.
