We are an adventure travel outfit, which started its operations in 1991, in various parts of Himachal Pradesh - Shimla, Kinnaur and Kullu/Manali region, primarily organizing treks and safaris for overseas clients. In 1995, we started organising camps for the corporate sector aimed at team building & fun in the districts of Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur. HCL Corp. was one of our first clients and still continues to enjoy our camps annually as much as they did eight years ago. In the year 2000, we shifted our base to the Kullu valley where it remains now. The camp sits on the edge of Batahar forest, across the suspension bridge at '15 Mile', with an altitude of 5000 feet, approximately 15 Kms. short of Manali. The Kullu valley is an exotic summer and autumn location known for its beauty, friendly people, good roads and communication network

Traveling in these times is more about entering a world of experiences that contradicts and avoids anything close to our habitual practices and perceptions. With this vast experience in India and abroad, the first ever Management Development Program in India using outdoors as a medium was conducted in 1989. This also was the beginning of High Places India as a separate entity. Few outdoor enthusiasts joined up to mark the beginning of this unique methodology that happens to be one the emergent medium for various training needs today. With over 900 outdoor programs and more than 13000 participants having benefited from the experience so far, this setup has evolved into an organization known as ' High Places Management Pvt. Ltd. With its base at Pune, amidst the Western Ghats of India with valleys, mountains, forts and forests makes it a hub for adventure and outdoor activi

High Points began operations in 1984 and caters to visitors from America, all the European countries, Japan and Australia.All parties of 6 or more are accompanied by English speaking trip managers who are fond of the areas they travel, considerate of local sensitivities and fun to be with. Some who accompany cultural exploration trips have a strong background in ancient Indian philosophy and mythology and the interpretation of this in performing arts such as the classical dances of India. Mr. Roopu Negi our company founder, a skiing fanatic in his early days and One of the founder members of the first Skiing club (Winter Sports Club) in Manali. . He won the best skier award in 1978 and remained in serious skiing till 1986. In late seventies and early eighties, he made small climbing expeditions in the mountains around Manali and also skied down the mountain peaks of Patalsu and Brighu. After completing his graduation he started The Himalayan Adventurers in 1986, one of the first Adventure and cultural tour Operating Company in Manali. He was the first to operate the Grand Western Himalayan Jeep Safari from Shimla to Ladakh in 1993. which is now a well-known tour circuit in the Western Himalayas. He has Traveled extensively all over the Western Himalayas, including Zanskar, Ladakh and Spiti, Garhwal and the remote areas of Himachal and Has made a deep study of these areas, their unique and ancient culture and traditions. Now actively involved in promoting new and unexplored areas in the Western Himalaya. he has grown up with the company to see it evolve as one of the best adventure and travel company in the region.
