The next year Pala Investments offered $85 million to buy Rockwell; Pala's primary business is investing in natural resources companies. Rockwell rejected the offer as insufficient.

One other site, Quenonisca, is being explored for zinc, lead, silver, and copper. Quenonisca is a joint venture with the Quebecois government-owned SOQUEM. None of Strateco Resources' properties are in production.
