University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina is an integrated non-profit health delivery system serving a 29-county area of eastern North Carolina. University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina is academically affiliated with Brody School of Medicine at Eastern Carolina University. The system is comprised of half a dozen hospitals, including the acute care Pitt County Memorial Hospital (PCMH), as well as physicians' practices and clinics, surgery centers, a home health service, and numerous community health programs. PCMH has 760 beds and a staff of 500 physicians and 1,200 nurses. University Health Systems is affiliated with East Carolina University's Brody School of Medicine.

University Hospitals Health System (UHHS) is on a mission to teach, research, and administer good health throughout Northeast Ohio. Its flagship facility University Hospitals of Cleveland (UHC), which operates as University Hospitals Case Medical Center (UHCMC), is a 1,000-bed tertiary care center serving Cleveland and other parts of northeastern Ohio. University Medical Center of Southern Nevada is an affiliate of the University of Nevada School of Medicine. University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics partners with the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital might be a better option. With about 475 beds, the hospital is part of the Albert B. Chandler Medical Center, which includes the hospital and six specialized medical colleges for the University of Kentucky School of Medicine. The hospital offers specialty services such as cancer treatment, pediatric care, heart care, orthopedics, sports medicine, and women's health. The University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital operates eastern Kentucky's only Level I trauma treatment facility.

University of Miami Hospital can cure what ails you. The hospital provides a full complement of inpatient medical services, as well as emergency and outpatient care. It houses about 560 patient beds and provides specialized care in heart disease, neurological disorders, orthopedics, cancer treatment, and urology, among other fields. The University of Miami Hospital also operates centers for infertility treatment, gastrointestinal procedures, and sleep loss therapy. The medical center is owned by the University of Miami.

University of Michigan Health System (UMHS). Nationally recognized as one of the top health care organizations in the country and part of The University of Michigan, the health system includes the university's medical school and three hospitals -- University Hospital, C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, and Women's Hospital -- with more than 930 licensed beds. Other members of UMHS include 30 primary community and specialty health centers, the U-M School of Nursing, the A. Alfred Taubman Health Care Center, and its outpatient clinics. The health care system has affiliations with other hospitals and health care networks in southeastern Michigan.

University of North Carolina Hospitals (UNC Hospitals) is at the heart of the UNC Health Care system. The organization provides acute care to the Tar Heel State through North Carolina Memorial Hospital, North Carolina Children's Hospital, North Carolina Neurosciences Hospital, and North Carolina Women's Hospital. Combined, the facilities have some 760 beds. Specialties include cancer treatment (at the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, a National Cancer Institute-designated facility), organ transplantation, cardiac care, orthopedics, wound management, and rehabilitation. The not-for-profit system is owned by the state of North Carolina and is affiliated with the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Medicine.
