The University of Kansas Medical Center consists of educational facilities and the University of Kansas Hospital (KU Hospital). The hospital houses nearly 560 bed and 500 doctors. Its specialized services include emergency medicine, cardiology, cancer care, trauma care, and organ transplants, as well as stroke, prostate, and burn centers. KU Med's educational programs include a graduate school, as well as schools of medicine, nursing, and allied health. The medical center also houses health science research centers.
