Thomas Jefferson University Hospital
Thomas Jefferson University Hospital serves the people of the Keystone State with a medical staff of about 1,100 and some 960 beds. Part of Jefferson Health System, the hospital provides acute, tertiary, and specialty medical care. Along with the main campus, it operates through a Center City Campus, Methodist Hospital, Jefferson Voorhees, and Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience. The hospital also administers cardiac care at the Jefferson Heart Institute, which provides everything from minimally invasive surgical procedures to heart transplants. It is also the teaching hospital for Thomas Jefferson University. Thomas Jefferson University Hospital was founded in 1825.
