Fiat reorganized its operations in early 2011 and sent its agricultural and construction equipment (led by 89% owned CNH Global), commercial vehicles (Iveco), and most of the rest of its nonautomobile operations to the newly created Fiat Industrial.

The Karma is scheduled to roll out in 2011 with the initial production anticipated to be 15,000 vehicles and prices starting at about $95,000. Fisker Automotive isn't just bringing a new sports car to market, it is creating the market for environmentally friendly luxury sports cars. The company's first and so far only car model, the Karma, melds performance, design, and technology to create a "green" sports car. In addition to the plug-in hybrid engine, developed by Quantum Fuel Systems, Fisker incorporates regenerative braking and solar panels that allow the car to drive emission-free for up to 50 miles a day on an overnight charge.
