Alkane Energy pursues the arcane task of extracting methane gas from abandoned coal mines in the UK and Germany for the dual purposes of direct supply to industrial clients and for on-site power generation. A renewable energy company, Alkane aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, through the capturing of coalbed methane and its conversion to energy.
