Munson Healthcare was founded in 1915. Munson Healthcare is a not-for-profit health care system serving some 25 counties in northern Michigan. Its flagship facility is Munson Medical Center, a regional referral hospital with about 390 beds and offers specialty services including cancer treatment, behavioral health, cardiac care, and orthopedics. Munson Healthcare also has management agreements and other types of affiliations with about a dozen other hospitals in the region. In addition, Munson Healthcare operates urgent care and community clinics, home health care and hospice agencies, an ambulance service, and the Northern Michigan Supply Alliance, a supply chain management group co-owned with Trinity Health.

Nassau Health Care keeps residents healthy in the suburbs of the Big Apple. The health system operates Nassau University Medical Center, which has some 530 beds, as well as the A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility, a skilled nursing center with 590 beds. Other operations include about a half-dozen community health centers and a home health care agency serving the people of Long Island. Nassau University Medical Center's specialized services include trauma, burn care, orthopedics, psychiatry, and obstetrics. Nassau Health Care is a public benefit company governed by a representative board appointed by state and county officials.

Natchez Regional Medical Center is a full-service acute care hospital serving a region known as Miss-Lou, which includes seven counties in southwestern Mississippi and two parishes of northeastern Louisiana. The hospital provides general medical and surgical care with nearly 200 licensed beds. It offers specialty services in a number of areas, including cardiac catheterization, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient surgery, and geriatric mental health. Owned by the county, Natchez Regional Medical Center opened its doors in 1960. While not technically bankrupt, in 2009 the medical center filed for Chapter 9 bankruptcy protection in order to reorganize.

Nationwide Children's Hospital (formerly Columbus Children's Hospital) in Columbus, Ohio, is one of the largest pediatric care centers in the US. The hospital has some 350 licensed beds and offers services in areas such as behavioral health, cardiology, hospice, orthopedics, and surgery. It has more than 850 health care providers on its medical staff and its emergency department treats more than 75,000 patients each year. The hospital also operates outpatient and specialty clinics in the area and a research institute which is investigating gene therapy. Nationwide Children's Hospital opened its doors in 1892 with nine beds.

NCH Healthcare System provides a comprehensive range of health care services to residents of Collier County and the surrounding area of southwest Florida. The system includes two acute care hospitals (NCH Downtown Naples Hospital and NCH North Naples Hospital) with a combined 680-bed capacity and regional institutes which specialize in orthopedics and the treatment of cancer, heart ailments, and women's and children's health issues. NCH includes an area network of more than 500 primary care and specialist physicians, as well as numerous outpatient and ambulatory care facilities that provide services ranging from diagnostics to rehabilitative care to surgery and emergency care.
