The facility is a 250-bed acute care hospital that serves communities located north of Kansas City. Founded in 1974, Liberty Hospital offers general and specialty health care services including trauma care, obstetrics, dialysis, surgical services, vascular and cardiac medicine (including open-heart surgery), rehabilitation, and pediatrics. The medical facility has about 300 physicians on staff and also operates a skilled nursing facility and offers home health and hospice services.
