National Raisin Company
Since its founding in 1969, the National Raisin Company has been owned by the Bedrosian family. National Raisin might secretly like to twist the old adage to go something like -- a raisin a day (actually, maybe cup) keeps the doctor away. Located in the heart of California's San Joaquin Valley raisin-growing region, the company processes more than 100 million pounds of raisins every year. National produces organic and conventional raisins for retail customers under the Champion and Bonner Organic labels. It also grows and dries plums (prunes) and apricots, also sold under the Champion brand name. In addition, National's foodservice operation offers currents, raisin juice concentrate, and raisin paste.
