Meyer Natural Angus
The market for vegetarian-fed, hormone-free beef is quite the cash cow for Meyer Natural Angus. After acquiring Coleman Natural Foods' beef division and Laura's Lean Beef, Meyer Natural Angus is now one of the top producers of natural beef (i.e., fed a grass- and grain-only diet, using no hormones or antibiotics) in the US. Its meat comes from the 43,000-acre Meyer Company Ranch in Montana and 200 contracted Red Angus cattle ranchers across the US. Processing about 10,000 head of cattle every month, Meyer's sells its fresh and frozen ground beef, bulk and pre-formed patties, fresh and frozen steaks and cuts, and dry-aged steaks throughout the country.
