Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company
Fish, fowl, or human, Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company (CPF) feeds them all. The company, Thailand's largest food conglomerate, makes animal feed; raises pigs, ducks, and chickens; and sells their meat via its livestock division. The aquaculture unit of the company, which includes Seafoods Enterprise and Thai Prawn Culture Center, produces and processes shrimp, prawns, and some finfish. CPF also sells eggs, sausage, and other value-added food products. The company has some 75 subsidiaries, including chicken farms in Turkey; feed production and aquaculture operations in China, Laos, Malaysia, and Russia; and a fast-food restaurant in Shanghai. Parent Charoen Pokphand Group owns about 40% of CPF.
