The General Council of the Assemblies of God

The General Council of the Assemblies of God oversees the US activities of one of the world's largest Pentecostal churches. In the US, the Assemblies of God includes more than 12,300 churches that have about 3 million constituents. In addition, the group has some 60 million constituents around the world. Its US-based Gospel Publishing House arm prints, sells, and distributes Bibles and other religious resources. (Every day the unit prints more than 12 tons of literature.) The Assemblies of God traces its roots to a religious revival that swept across the world during the late 1900s. The General Council of the Assemblies of God was founded in Hot Springs.
