The Hearst Foundation, Inc.

The Hearst Foundation is a sister organization of The William Randolph Hearst Foundation, both founded by William Randolph Hearst in the 1940s. The two foundations share goals, a headquarters, and management (Robert Frehse Jr., is an executive director of both), but are divided only by geography: The William Randolph Hearst Foundation grants funding to organizations west of the Mississippi River and The Hearst Foundation focuses on the eastern US. The foundation's four major charitable interests are culture, education, health, and social service.
