The National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving recreation, park, and leisure facilities; promoting wellness; developing and influencing public policy in support of recreation; connecting tourism workers with park information; and developing and disseminating recreation program information. To that end, the organization lobbies local, state, and national government and hosts events like the National Health & Livability Summit. National Recreation and Park Association also partners with other organizations to promote outdoor activities for kids. NRPA was formed in 1907.

NWA wants kids to drink milk and eat veggies. The National WIC Association (NWA) is the nonprofit support agency for the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC). Through some 10,000 clinics nationwide, WIC provides nutrition and breastfeeding education and offers programs that include nutritious foods and health care access for more than 9 million low-income women and children. NWA operates through more than 2,000 local agencies in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, more than 30 American Indian tribal organizations, American Samoa, Guam, and Puerto Rico.
