National WIC Association
NWA wants kids to drink milk and eat veggies. The National WIC Association (NWA) is the nonprofit support agency for the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC). Through some 10,000 clinics nationwide, WIC provides nutrition and breastfeeding education and offers programs that include nutritious foods and health care access for more than 9 million low-income women and children. NWA operates through more than 2,000 local agencies in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, more than 30 American Indian tribal organizations, American Samoa, Guam, and Puerto Rico. National WIC Association also advocates for services for nutritionally at-risk families. NWA was founded in 1983.
