BSE recoups losses, up 87 points in early trade
The BSE opened in the green after witnessing its biggest fall on Wednesday.
The bourse was trading at 29,254.96, up 87.18 or 0.30% from previous close.
The market was up as investors bought stocks at a lower level and by taking cues from the global markets.
"Overnight, the Nasdaq jumped 0.5% and the S&P 500 closer higher, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average was flat after all three touched their lowest levels in about five weeks earlier in the session," a report by Reuters said.
The top gainers include Alembic Pharmaceuticals up 0.75% at Rs 595.65 apiece, Shobha Ltd at Rs 357.30 up 4.93%, Suzlon up 4.09%.
The CNX Nifty was trading at 9,061.65, up 31.20 or 0.35% from previous close.
