Walton Rehabilitation Hospital provides rehabilitative care to people who have suffered catastrophic illness or injuries, primarily serving the central Savannah River area in Georgia. The hospital offers services for patients recovering from strokes, as well as brain, spinal cord, and orthopedic injuries. It also provides a pain center and independent living services. Walton Rehabilitation Hospital was founded in 1988.

Washington County Health System (WCHS) provides a wide range of medical services to patients living in western Maryland, southern Pennsylvania, and adjacent portions of West Virginia. Its flagship facility, the not-for-profit Washington County Hospital, has some 350 beds and offers acute, tertiary, and long-term care, including inpatient behavioral health services, cardiac care, obstetrics, cancer treatment, rehabilitation, and trauma care. Other services include organ transplantation and a regional burn treatment center, as well as emergency air transportation. The hospital also conducts clinical research and offers educational residency and fellowship programs.

Washington Regional Medical System (formerly Washington Regional Medical Center) provides acute care services to the people of northwestern Arkansas. The system's main hospital has about 370 beds, and also includes assisted living facilities, home health and hospice services, and general practice and specialty clinics. Specialty services at the medical center include cardiac and vascular care (Walker Family Heart and Vascular Institute), emergency medicine, kidney dialysis, women's health services (Johnelle Hunt Women's Center), cancer treatment, and rehabilitation.

Waterbury Hospital hopes it is to its cardiologists. The community teaching hospital, serving western Connecticut, has been named one of the top hospitals in the nation for cardiac intervention. Of course, hearts aren't the only body parts Waterbury Hospital treats; the full-service facility has about 360 beds and offers services that include inpatient and outpatient behavioral health care, an orthopedic center, and an outpatient surgery center. Waterbury Hospital, founded in 1890, forms the cornerstone of the Greater Waterbury Health Network, which provides area residents with a range of outpatient health services, from nursing care to hospice, imaging, and laboratory services.

Wayne Memorial Health System provides general medical and surgical health services, primary care and family medicine, long-term and intermediate care, and assisted living services to communities in northeastern Pennsylvania. It also offers home health care, nutritional counseling, and wellness programs. The Wayne Memorial Hospital has about 100 beds.

Weirton Medical Center has 240-bed, not-for-profit hospital provides a wide range of health services to the tri-state region of West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Inpatient services include pediatrics, obstetrics, and other acute care services. Founded in 1953, the hospital also offers clinical and diagnostic care services such as emergency medicine, home health care, rehabilitation, and occupational therapy. Weirton Medical Center has seen a steady decrease in patient volumes in recent years forcing the hospital to enact a number of cost-saving measures including cutting back on some services and laying off employees.

Wellmont Health System provides general and advanced medical-surgical care to residents of northeastern Tennessee and southwestern Virginia. The health system consists of about a dozen owned and affiliated hospitals that collectively have more than 1,300 licensed beds. One of its facilities is a rehabilitation hospital operated in partnership with HealthSouth. Wellmont also operates numerous ancillary facilities, including an assisted living center, a mental health clinic, home health care and hospice agencies, and outpatient centers. The health system was founded in 1996.

WellSpan Health's territory spans from south-central Pennsylvania into northern Maryland. The health care system has two hospitals, York Hospital and Gettysburg Hospital, with some 650 beds. Other components of the company include managed care plans South Central Preferred and Quest Behavioral Health with some 40,000 participants; home health care provider VNA Home Health; a retail pharmacy with half a dozen locations in Pennsylvania's Adams and York counties; and Apple Hill Surgical Center for outpatient procedures. WellSpan Health's network also includes additional diagnostic, outpatient care, and physician practice facilities.

WellStar Health System serves four counties in northwest Georgia through five acute care hospitals, a physician group, and an array of outpatient services. The network's hospitals specialize in cardiac and cancer care, diabetes treatments, and women's health; together the five hospitals house about 1,300 beds. WellStar's physician group operates through some 80 locations with more than 400 providers. The network is also home to hospice and home care programs; Atherton Place, an independent living center for senior citizens; and several urgent care facilities. WellStar is led by CEO Dr. Greg Simone.
