Wellmont Health System provides general and advanced medical-surgical care to residents of northeastern Tennessee and southwestern Virginia. The health system consists of about a dozen owned and affiliated hospitals that collectively have more than 1,300 licensed beds. One of its facilities is a rehabilitation hospital operated in partnership with HealthSouth. Wellmont also operates numerous ancillary facilities, including an assisted living center, a mental health clinic, home health care and hospice agencies, and outpatient centers. The health system was founded in 1996.

WellSpan Health's territory spans from south-central Pennsylvania into northern Maryland. The health care system has two hospitals, York Hospital and Gettysburg Hospital, with some 650 beds. Other components of the company include managed care plans South Central Preferred and Quest Behavioral Health with some 40,000 participants; home health care provider VNA Home Health; a retail pharmacy with half a dozen locations in Pennsylvania's Adams and York counties; and Apple Hill Surgical Center for outpatient procedures. WellSpan Health's network also includes additional diagnostic, outpatient care, and physician practice facilities.

WellStar Health System serves four counties in northwest Georgia through five acute care hospitals, a physician group, and an array of outpatient services. The network's hospitals specialize in cardiac and cancer care, diabetes treatments, and women's health; together the five hospitals house about 1,300 beds. WellStar's physician group operates through some 80 locations with more than 400 providers. The network is also home to hospice and home care programs; Atherton Place, an independent living center for senior citizens; and several urgent care facilities. WellStar is led by CEO Dr. Greg Simone.

Wenatchee Valley Medical Center (WVMC) has Pacific Northwesterners covered. Formed in 1940, the physician-owned rural health care system administers medical aid to residents in north central Washington State through eight community clinics and a 20-bed acute care hospital. The central campus includes the Wenatchee Valley Clinic, the Wenatchee Valley Hospital and Surgery Center, and a regional radiation treatment oncology center. There are about 170 physicians at WVMC who provide care in most major medical specialties including behavioral health, cardiology, and OB-GYN.

West Florida Regional Medical Center, which operates as West Florida Healthcare, includes the 530-bed acute care West Florida Hospital, a 70-bed psychiatric hospital (The Pavilion), a 60-bed extended care center (Rehabilitation Institute), and a 20-bed hospice facility (Covenant Hospice). The hospital's specialty units include a birthing center, orthopedic unit, heart center, memory clinic, and neurosciences division. West Florida Healthcare also operates nearly a dozen primary care clinics in the region.
