From humble beginnings of Elizabeth Shaw chocolate in a Teddington kitchen, the brand has gone from strength to strength and is now a major household name, on the shelves of virtually every supermarket in the UK and exported widely throughout the World.

Elmer Candy Corporation makes Easter sweet. Although it has been in business since 1855, the company began focusing on seasonal (Christmas, Easter, and Valentine's Day) candy in the 1970s, following the increased competition it faced from the large US confectioners (Mars, Hershey). It now concentrates solely on Easter, offering dark or milk chocolate versions of the Gold Brick Egg and Heavenly Hash Egg, along with the Pecan Egg. Elmer Candy Corporation also makes chocolate syrup for ice cream under the Gold Brick Topping brand name. Elmer Candy is owned and operated by the Nelson family and traces its roots back to German immigrant Christopher Miller, who began his life in the US by opening a candy shop in New Orleans.

Endangered Species Chocolate makes confections out of cocoa obtained from family farmers and cooperatives. Endangered Species Chocolate, LLC offers some 30 different products, including candy bars such as dark chocolate with hazelnut toffee, milk chocolate with cherries, and smooth white chocolate; it also makes organic bars and chocolate pieces. Endangered Species' products are sold at retailers such as Target and at specialty and health-food stores, including Whole Foods, throughout the US. Ten percent of the company's after-tax profits is donated to environmental conservation groups.

Enstrom Candies, Inc. handmade process uses almonds, butter, sugar, and chocolate to make the toffee, which comes in dark or milk chocolate varieties. It also makes other confections, including chocolates, truffles, caramels, toffee popcorn, and ice cream. But toffee is Enstrom's "bread and butter" -- it turns out 500,000 pounds of toffee every year. Enstrom Candies, Inc. confections are shipped to customers in the US and internationally. F & F Foods is a privately held company located on the Southwest side of Chicago near Midway Airport. F & F Foods, Inc. manufactures such branded items as Daily C, Smith Brothers Cough Drops, Sen-Sen, F&F Dietary Supplements, and Foxes Candy Mint Rolls and many well known private label products within the Cough Drop, Candy Roll, and Power Mint categories. F&F also performs contract manufacturing and packaging services. All products are manufactured in the U.S. and shipped from a company owned warehouse located across the street from the manufacturing facility. F & F's distribution is national and growing. From the company warehouse, product is shipped to all fifty states as well as international locations. The company employs 110 people in a combination of manufacturing and office jobs.
