Bodine Aluminum company operates three plants in Troy and St. Louis, Missouri, and Jackson, Tennessee. Bodine's Troy plant is the hub and totally dedicated to producing aluminum cylinder heads, intake manifolds, and engine blocks for Toyotas assembled in North America. The St. Louis plant produces aluminum castings for passenger cars, trucks, and agricultural equipment. The Tennessee plant, which Toyota invested $164 million to build, manufactures aluminum engine blocks. Originally founded in 1912, Bodine Aluminum became a subsidiary of Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America (formerly Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America) in 1990.
