Behr Industries Corporation
Behr Industries Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Erwin Behr Automotive GmbH of Wendlingen, Germany. When founded, the company's product line was furniture and fine cabinetry. Two decades later, radio cabinets were added to the line. By mid-century, the company had ventured into wood products for the automotive industry, focusing solely on European vehicles. A U.S. facility was opened at the beginning of the 1990s in Comstock Park, Michigan. This facility is the only design and production operation of its kind in the U.S. Through all the years, Behr has never lost focus in its concentration on being a qualified (now certified) producer of top-quality wood components exhibiting the finest veneers.
