White House Media, was founded by journalist Llewellyn King in 1973 as a publisher of papers and newsletters focused on topics such as energy, defense, technology, the environment, and politics. It began producing White House Chronicle, a television program airing on PBS, in 1998. King executive produces and hosts the weekly panel discussion of news events and one-on-one interviews. King sold most of King Publishing Group in 2006. He retained White House Chronicle and one newsletter, White House Weekly, which covers the White House, federal government, and domestic and foreign affairs.
