White House Media, was founded by journalist Llewellyn King in 1973 as a publisher of papers and newsletters focused on topics such as energy, defense, technology, the environment, and politics. It began producing White House Chronicle, a television program airing on PBS, in 1998. King executive produces and hosts the weekly panel discussion of news events and one-on-one interviews. King sold most of King Publishing Group in 2006. He retained White House Chronicle and one newsletter, White House Weekly, which covers the White House, federal government, and domestic and foreign affairs.

Zodiak Media Group is one of the largest independent producers of television programming in Europe. It owns 45 production companies with a presence spanning 17 countries. Some of its most notable titles include Location, Location for Channel Four and Holiday Showdown for ITV. In the US, Zodiak USA produces Wife Swap for broadcast network ABC and Don't Forget the Lyrics for FOX. Other units make children's shows, scripted programming, and documentaries. Zodiak Media Group was formed in mid-2010 when the former RDF Media was acquired by Paris-based Zodiak Entertainment (majority-owned by Italy's De Agostini). After the buyout, RDF Media rebranded itself as Zodiak Media Group.
