Horizon Motion Pictures develops, produces, and distributes international independent feature films, documentaries, and television programming. The company has a library of Canadian, US, and Japanese films, which are actively marketed at film festivals and other venues, including AFM, Cannes, MIP, MIFED, and the London Screenings. Among the films distributed by Horizon is the Japanese movie upon which the US horror hit The Ring was based. Horizon Motion Pictures was founded in 1989 by president Rob Straight, who also owns the company.
