The National Association of Broadcasters is the voice for the nation’s radio and television broadcasters. As the premier trade association for broadcasters, NAB advances the interests of our members in federal government, industry and public affairs; improves the quality and profitability of broadcasting; encourages content and technology innovation; and spotlights the important and unique ways stations serve their communities. NAB is the chief advocate of broadcasters in our nation’s capital, ensuring policymakers are informed on the issues that impact the broadcasting industry. The association relies on the grassroots strength of its television and radio members and state broadcast associations. Broadcasters recognize the importance of educating Congress, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the administration on how legislation and regulations affect their business, and more importantly, the listening and viewing public.

The verdict is in: the National Association of Women Judges (NAWJ) wants gender equality in the US court system. The not-for-profit organization offers educational programs and professional development services to more than 1,200 members, who include both women and men, attorneys, law clerks, and judges at all levels, from tribal to federal. NAWJ holds national conferences to encourage professional networking, promotes diversity in hiring at law firms, offers law career training and scholarships to students, and provides legislative advocacy on behalf of women in prison and other underrepresented groups. NAWJ was at the forefront in the establishment and implementation of gender bias task forces in both federal and state courts. NAWJ have greatly advanced the administration of justice in areas of domestic violence, child support and child custody, and the treatment of women in the courts of America.

The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) is the union for current professional basketball players in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Established in 1954, the NBPA mission is to ensure that the rights of NBA players are protected and that every conceivable measure is taken to assist players in maximizing their opportunities and achieving their goals, both on and off the court. NBA players did not receive the wide-ranging privileges and protections that exist today. There was no pension plan, no per diem, no minimum wage, no health benefits and the average player salary was $8,000. It was not until 1964, when the NBA All-Star team threatened not to play in the first televised All-Star game, that the players gained their first victory.

The National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA) is a not-for-profit organization that supports the beef industry by improving the business climate and increasing consumer demand for red meat. The group, with hundreds of thousands of members, lobbies Congress to reduce the involvement of the government in agriculture, preserve the resource management rights of ranchers, open foreign markets, and maintain competition. It also runs educational programs, hosts conventions, and researches beef safety. Alongside ranchers, NCBA members also include auctions, dairy operators, foodservice operators, packers, processors, and retailers.

The National Center for Educational Achievement (NCEA) is a non-profit, non-partisan ACT organization whose mission is to help K-12 students reach College and Career Readiness (CCR). Reaching CCR requires rigorous academic preparation that should begin early during students’ K-12 education. NCEA carries out data analysis, research, advocacy, and program development that promote high academic standards and student achievement throughout K-12 to help more students reach college and career readiness. NCEA uses the knowledge gained from these areas of focus to promote the critical transfer of knowledge from schools that are succeeding in raising academic standards and student achievement to the many schools and districts that strive to improve their academic results.
