St. John Health is out to keep southeastern Michigan's denizens healthy. A subsidiary of Ascension Health, St. John is a regional health care system founded in 1844 that consists of seven hospitals, with more than 2,300 beds, and about 125 other medical facilities, including urgent care clinics, outpatient centers, nursing homes and assisted-living facilities, and doctors' offices. The health system also runs St. John Home Services, a home health care agency providing infusion services, rehabilitative services, and hospice care. St. John Hospital & Medical Center is part of the larger Detroit area-based St. John Health regional health care system. The 800-bed teaching hospital is affiliated with Wayne State University. St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, a part of St. John Health, boasts more than 535 beds and two campuses: one in Warren and another in Madison Heights, Michigan. It offers cancer care services through its Webber Cancer Center and provides gynecologic, medical, pediatric, radiation oncology, and hematology. The hospital also offers specialty care in the areas of behavioral medicine, cardiovascular services, obstetrics, physical rehabilitation, emergency care, and women's health. Its Webber Healing Arts Center promotes well-being through alternative medicine and techniques that complement traditional health care. The center was formed through the 2007 merger of St. John Macomb and St. John Oakland hospitals.

St. John River District runs deep in the communities it serves. Part of St. John Health, the hospital serves Michigan's St. Clair and Macomb counties (the southern portion of the state's "thumb") with about 70 beds. The acute-care hospital operates five outpatient centers and offers a range of services including cardiology, orthopedics, and vascular diagnostics. St. John River District Hospital also runs a sleep study center and urinary incontinence center. In addition it has a bloodless treatment program for patients whose religious convictions preclude certain treatments. Since its inception in 1965, the hospital undergone seven major renovation programs, including the reconstruction of emergency department.

St. John's Health System, part of the Sisters of Mercy-St. Louis organization, serves Southwestern Missouri and Northern Arkansas. The system includes St. John's Regional Health Center and five other acute-care facilities (all operating under the St. John's Hospital name) and a network of some 70 clinics operating as St. John's Clinics. The company also administers health plans, offering claims processing and payment, corporate health and wellness programs, medical management, and plan consulting and implementation services through its Health Plan division. Its five regional hospitals are located in Missouri in the cities of Aurora, Cassville, Lebanon, and Mountain View, as well as in Berryville, Arkansas.
