Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center of Chicago
Mount Sinai Hospital opened its doors in 1919 with 60 beds to serve the burgeoning population of Eastern European immigrants in the Windy City. The hospital's present facility is a 320-bed tertiary-care medical center. Mount Sinai Hospital also trains medical students from the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science, and it hosts health research programs. Its services include Level I trauma care and Level III perinatal care. It also operates outpatient and community health centers and offers home health care. The hospital is a part of the Sinai Health System, which also includes the Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital, the Sinai Children's Hospital, Sinai Medical Group, and the Sinai Community Institute.
