Flagstaff Medical Center
Flagstaff Medical Center serves the residents of northern Arizona. Founded in 1936, the not-for-profit hospital is part of the Northern Arizona Healthcare family. It has some 270 beds and its medical staff includes about 200 physicians. The hospital offers cancer, heart, sports medicine, joint surgery, and women and infants' centers. Other medical services include behavioral health, audiology, diabetes care, home health, hospice, and ambulance and air flight transportation. In addition, Flagstaff Medical Center provides training courses for health care professionals. The hospital's emergency department treats about 40,000 patients each year.
