The Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center opened in 1997. Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center provides care to residents of central Florida. The not-for-profit, 160-bed medical center is the flagship facility of the Florida Hospital Heartland division of Adventist Health System. Other facilities in the Heartland system include Florida Hospital Lake Placid (a 50-bed community hospital), Florida Hospital Wauchula (25 beds), various fitness centers, medical clinics, and counseling agencies. Established in 1938 and named after the philanthropic leader of the Waterman Fountain Pen Company, Florida Hospital Waterman has been part of the Adventist Health System since 1992. Florida Hospital Waterman is a 200-bed community hospital serving the residents of Lake County, Florida, just north of Orlando. The hospital provides a full range of acute care services, including cardiac and cancer care, emergency services, obstetrics, pediatrics, and rehabilitation. It also offers outpatient surgery, diagnostic imaging, laboratory, and home health services, and it operates a primary care clinic.

Floyd Medical Center has more than 300 beds and serves northwestern Georgia and northeastern Alabama. In addition to medical, surgical, and emergency care (including a Level II trauma center and neonatal intensive care unit), the hospital offers rehabilitation programs, home health care, and psychiatric care through Floyd Behavioral Health Center, a freestanding facility with more than 50 beds. Floyd Medical Center and its affiliates, including about 20 primary care centers and five urgent care locations, are operated by Floyd Healthcare Management Inc. Founded in 1942, the not-for-profit is led by CEO Kurt Stuenkel.

Founded in 1952, the regional medical center serves South Mississippi and its "Hub City," so named for its importance to early rail and lumber interests in the Pine Belt area. With some 500 acute care beds, FGH offers general medical and surgical care, as well as specialty care in heart disease, cancer, and women's health. Other facilities include Pine Grove, a behavioral health center offering psychiatric and substance abuse treatment, an inpatient rehabilitation facility, and an outpatient surgery center. The hospital system also operates a home health care agency and nearby 100-bed Highland Community Hospital.

Forsyth Medical Center became part of Novant Health in 1997. Forsyth Medical Center learns from hindsight, but operates with foresight. One of the largest hospitals in North Carolina, Forsyth Medical Center (FMC) is a tertiary care hospital with about 960 beds. It provides Winston-Salem and Thomasville area patients with such health care services as behavioral health, emergency care, rehabilitation, and surgical procedures. The medical center also operates a network of community health centers including Medical Park Hospital (about 20 beds), Thomasville Medical Center (150 beds), and outpatient and physician clinics.
