Commonwealth Health Corporation started out in 1926 as a 35-bed hospital. The holding company houses a full spectrum of health care facilities and services including The Medical Center, a 500-bed regional health care system comprised of three hospitals, long-term health care providers, and senior care, among other services. Commonwealth's outpatient offerings include nutrition therapy, a women's center, diabetes programs, and adult day care. The corporation's Center Care Health Benefits Program supplies employers with products and services to support the distribution and administration of employee benefits and healthcare services.
