Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula was founded in 1934. Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula is a not-for-profit health care facility providing general medical and surgical care with more than 230 acute care and skilled nursing beds. Specialty services include cardiac and cancer care, obstetrics, orthopedics, and rehabilitation. In addition to its main facility, the hospital operates several ancillary centers, including a mental health clinic, an inpatient hospice, medical laboratory branches, and several outpatient centers offering diagnostic imaging, diabetes care, and other services.
