Community Hospital Watervliet originally a private residence and later a nursing home -- opened its doors in 1979. The not-for-profit, acute care hospital provides medical care for the denizens of Watervliet, Michigan and surrounding townships. The network includes flagship teaching facility Memorial Medical Center, as well as Meyersdale Medical Center, Miners Medical Center, Crichton Rehabilitation Center, and a network of community and specialized health care facilities. With more than 800 beds in its system, Conemaugh Health offers such services as regional cancer, cardiovascular, and neurosciences centers; home health care and home medical equipment; general care facilities; and specialized facilities for managing pain and wounds that are difficult to heal. Conemaugh Health also operates Penn Highlands Health Plan, a PPO.
