Brown & Bigelow was founded in 1896. Brown & Bigelow designs, manufactures, and sells corporate promotional products, primarily calendars of several sizes and formats. It also offers pens, USB flash drives, apparel, and other items. The firm is known for having commissioned works by renowned artists such as Norman Rockwell and Cassius Coolidge (who created the paintings of those poker-playing, cigar-smoking dogs). It sold its Hoyle playing card division to U.S. Playing Card in 2001.
