Violator Records, LLC
Violator Records, LLC company has taken its clients from the hip-hop clubs into films, TV, and advertising, as well as the wireless businesses. CEO Chris Lighty founded the company with Mona Scott-Young and Todd Moscowitz. Lighty was schooled in the business from hip hop pioneer Russell Simmons during his time at Rush Communications. If there is one law that Violator Records won't break, it's the self-imposed law of making money while retaining street cred. Music company Violator Records has represented hip-hop artists such as Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J, Macy Gray, Missy Elliott, and 50 Cent.
