Its Music Publishing segment owns and acquires rights to musical compositions, markets these compositions, and receives royalties or fees for their use.

This segment owns or controls rights to approximately one million musical compositions, including various pop hits, American standards, folk songs, and motion picture and theatrical compositions. In addition, its music catalog includes approximately 65,000 songwriters and composers; and a range of genres, including pop, rock, jazz, country, R&B, hip-hop, rap, reggae, Latin, folk, blues, symphonic, soul, Broadway, techno, alternative, gospel, and other Christian music. Further, this segment administers the music and soundtracks of various third-party television and film producers and studios.
