The San Diego Union-Tribune LLC
The San Diego Union-Tribune, the result of a merger in 1992 between The San Diego Union (founded in 1868) and the Evening Tribune (founded in 1895), is a leading daily newspaper and the only major daily in America's Finest City. It has a daily circulation of almost 250,000 and its online counterpart -- SignOnSanDiego.com -- has more than 2.5 million visitors in a month. The paper, owned by private equity firm Platinum Equity, is published in San Diego and operates several offices throughout the city. The company also publishes Enlace, a weekly Spanish-language newspaper (and Web site mienlace.com) which targets the county's growing Hispanic population.
