Homestat opened for business in 2001 when founder and president Bill Stadtlander purchased the Maltex, Maypo, Wheatena, and G. Washington brands from ConAgra.

In addition to selling its products to retail food, foodservice, and food manufacturing firms, Honeyville operates three retail stores, located in Brigham City Utah; Chandler, Arizona; and Rancho Cucamonga, California.
