Hodgson Mill, Inc.
Hodgson Mill company touts its use of grinding stones (rather than the steel blades that the big companies use) to mill a variety of grains, including wheat, oats, rye, and corn. The Missouri mill was built in 1837; company founder Alva Hodgson purchased the mill after its second rebuilding in 1882. Hodgson Mill products include flours, flax seed, couscous, cereals, bread and baking mixes, batters, and non-gluten and soy products. It has added wholewheat and veggie dried pastas to its offerings, which are available at retail food outlets nationwide.
