Flo-Sun Incorporated
Founded in 1987 by CEO Alfonso Funjul, Flo-Sun's origins go back through five generations of the Fanjul family, which began sugar farming in Cuba in the 1850s. Flo-Sun companies produce nearly four million tons of the sweet stuff each year (sold under the brand names Domino, C&H, Florida Crystals, Redpath, and Jack Frost). The company's other holdings include more than 400,000 acres of land, hotels and resorts, an airport, and a renewable-energy power plant. Annual revenues from all of its businesses are estimated at $2.5 billion and include operations in 20 US states, Canada, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico.
