Fane Valley Co-operative Society Ltd. was established in 1903 by a group of farmers who wished to improve the marketing of their butter which at that time was produced on the farm. The group came together and built the original Fane Valley dairy which was located on the banks of the Fane Valley river bordering counties Armagh and Monaghan.Today 106 years later an agricultural store still operates on the original site providing a useful service to farmers in the area. Fane Valley has diversified from a producer of butter to being a leading company within the Irish Agri food sector. The Society now is involved in the processing of milk, red meat, cereals, animal feeds and supplies farm requisites to farmers, and from humble beginnings now has a group turnover in excess of £250m and employs 1500 people throughout Ireland.

Farm Service Cooperative (FSC) offers a big bushel basket full of products and services to farmers in west central Iowa. The agricultural co-op offers its members such farm-management supplies and services as grain elevator operations, grain marketing, equipment rental, tires, livestock feed and fertilizer sales, soil sampling, on-staff crop advisors, farm credit and financing, agronomy, and Cenex energy products (diesel, home-heating oil, propane, ethanol, gasoline) from its 10 locations.
