East Carolina University
East Carolina University (ECU) offers more than 100 undergraduate programs and about 75 graduate, 15 doctoral, and four specialist degree programs, as well as a first-professional MD program.
In addition to its main campus in Greenville, North Carolina the university also operates a health sciences campus (Brody School of Medicine), as well as the West Research Campus and the Pitt County Memorial Hospital, which serves as a teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine. Part of the University of North Carolina system, ECU was founded in 1907 as a teacher training college. It has an enrollment of some 24,000 students.
