Caspian Services, Inc. provides diversified oilfield services to the oil and gas industry in western Kazakhstan. Caspian Services, Inc. operates in three segments: Vessel Operations, Geophysical Services, and Infrastructure. The Vessel Operations segment charters a fleet of shallow draft offshore support vessels to customers performing oil and gas exploration activities in the Kazakhstan sector of the North Caspian Sea. The Geophysical Services segment provides seismic data acquisition services to oil and gas companies that operate onshore in Kazakhstan, and offshore in the Kazakhstan sector of the North Caspian Sea and the adjacent transition zone. The Infrastructure Development segment engages in the operation of water desalinization and bottling plant, and sales of potable water; as well as in the development of a marine base located at the Port of Bautino on the North Caspian Sea. Caspian Services, Inc. was formerly known as EMPS Corporation and changed its name to Caspian Services, Inc. in July 2005 to reflect the nature of its business in providing oilfield services. Caspian Services, Inc. was founded in 1998 and is based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
