NEW DELHI : Beating the slowdown in the auto industry, luxury automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz India delivered more than 600 cars last week during Dhanteras. Of the 600 cars, almost half of them were sold in the Delhi-NCR region alone. The rest of the demand came from Punjab, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata and Gujarat, the automaker said.
The Pentagon has awarded Microsoft a USD 10 billion cloud computing contract called JEDI. German carmaker Daimler is recalling hundreds of thousands of Mercedes-Benz vehicles including Sprinter van models over diesel emissions issues.
Daimler said late on Friday that Germany’s road traffic regulator KBA has concluded hearings over certain Mercedes-Benz vehicles with so-called OM651 diesel engines meeting Euro 5 emission standards and has ordered Daimler to carry out recalls.
Mumbai: German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz said on Tuesday that it has delivered over 200 cars of various models to customers in Mumbai, Gujarat and other cities in a single day as part of the festival season sale.
Dussehra and Navratri deliveries, which were made on Tuesday, outperformed the number of cars sold on the the same festival day last year, indicating a strong festive mood, the company said in a release.

BERLIN: German giant Mercedes-Benz said on Monday it wants to stop selling traditional combustion engine cars by 2039 and plans for its new vehicles sold worldwide by that time to be carbon-neutral.
"We aim to have a carbon-neutral new passenger car fleet in 20 years," said Ola Kallenius, current head of Mercedes research, who is to succeed Dieter Zetsche as chairman of the Daimler group next week.
