Woman's Hospital founded in 1968, the hospital was one of the first women's specialty hospitals in the US. The not-for-profit hospital offers women's health classes as well as other educational resources and delivers thousands of babies each year. The system is comprised of two hospitals (300-bed Wuesthoff Medical Center-Rockledge and 115-bed Wuesthoff Medical Center-Melbourne) and other facilities that provide diagnostic, behavioral health, assisted living, and primary and specialist care services. The system includes hospice care, community health, and home health programs. Wuesthoff Health System was acquired by Health Management Associates (HMA) in 2010.
