Woman's Hospital founded in 1968, the hospital was one of the first women's specialty hospitals in the US. Founded in 1889, the hospital also provides educational services through a partnership with the Weill Medical College of Cornell University, and it offers outpatient services through several family health clinics in the area. The not-for-profit medical center is an affiliated member of the New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System but is governed by an independent board of trustees.
