In addition, SUN-AIR provides technical support and maintenance for commuter and general aircraft at three service centers in Denmark. President and CEO Niels Sundberg owns the company, which he founded the company in 1978.

Swiss International Air Lines hopes to plot a course to prosperity under the wing of Deutsche Lufthansa. The carrier, known as SWISS, serves about 75 destinations in some 40 countries from its hub in Zurich and from airports in Basel and Geneva; it operates a fleet of more than 75 aircraft. SWISS was acquired by German airline giant Lufthansa in 2007, and the carriers' flight operations are being coordinated. Thai Airways operates a fleet of about 90 aircraft, nearly all of which are Boeing or Airbus jets. The government of Thailand holds a majority stake in the carrier.

Air transportation from state to state is the job of Trans States Airlines. The regional carrier offers flights to more than 45 cities in some 25 states, mainly in the midwestern and northeastern US. Trans States operates as AmericanConnection for American Airlines from a hub in St. Louis, and it operates as US Airways Express from a hub in Pittsburgh for US Airways. It also provides regional service for United Airlines as United Express from hubs in Chicago, Denver, and Washington, DC. Overall, Trans States Airlines operates a fleet of about 50 Embraer 50-seat regional jets. The company was founded in 1982 as Resort Air.

Transwest Air provides scheduled and charter passenger services in Canada. Scheduled flights serve about 10 cities in Saskatchewan while chartered services operate from about four cities in Saskatchewan and one in neighboring Manitoba.
