Trans States Airlines, Inc.
Air transportation from state to state is the job of Trans States Airlines. The regional carrier offers flights to more than 45 cities in some 25 states, mainly in the midwestern and northeastern US. Trans States operates as AmericanConnection for American Airlines from a hub in St. Louis, and it operates as US Airways Express from a hub in Pittsburgh for US Airways. It also provides regional service for United Airlines as United Express from hubs in Chicago, Denver, and Washington, DC. Overall, Trans States Airlines operates a fleet of about 50 Embraer 50-seat regional jets. The company was founded in 1982 as Resort Air.
