DB Mobility Logistics AG
Deutsche Bahn AG has erected a central memorial in Berlin to commemorate the deportation of Jewish citizens by Deutsche Reichsbahn during the Nazi era. The memorial in Grunewald is open to the general public. Berlin was Germany's railway capital. Railway lines led into Berlin from all directions and resembled the shape of a star. Magnificent stations were a symbol of economic wealth. Berlin, however, did not have a central station.
DB Mobility Logistics helps carry the load for parent company Deutsche Bahn. As the freight forwarder for Germany's national rail carrier, DB Mobility Logistics also manages passenger transport and logistics operations for the company's 34 million km of track across Europe, Russia, and China. DB Mobility Logistics is organized into six business units -- DB Bahn Long Distance, DB Bahn Regional, DB Bahn Urban, DB Schenker Logistics, DB Schenker Rail, and DB Services. Deutsche Bahn hit the brakes on a partial privatization plan.
