In the International market, Beam Radio Inc, became a pioneer in the aperture of the 800 MHz band in Latin America and the Caribbean, selling and installing more than 2000 channels in the region, installing system across the area-from system in Monterrey, Mexico to the Patagonia in Argentina.
As of today, analog LTR systems still operate in- Monterrey Mexico, Guatemala City-Guatemala, San Salvador-El Salvador, Tegucigalpa and San Pedro-Honduras, Managua Nicaragua (49 per cent ownership)
Beam Radio Inc.’s history dates back close to a quarter of a century, beginning in 1976, when the company started business by taking advantage of the booming citizen band (CB) radio market. After early success, the company advanced immediately on to the two-way radio business. In 1977, Beam Radio Inc. installed the first GMRS repeaters in the State of Florida.
